PURPOSE: To feed toner stably and completely even if a shallow storing box is used by carrying the toner stored in a container with a mixing and feeding rod fitted between a pair of endless stretching members wrapped over respective wrapping wheels to the direction of feeding roller.
CONSTITUTION: A toner feeder 37 expanded in the lateral direction and opened at its upper part consists of storage box 53 with a feeding port 52 opened at a part 53a of the bottom, a feeding roller 54 mounted over the feeding port 52, a pair of sprocket 55, 56 pivotally mounted on both the side walls of the storage box, a pair of cains 58, 57 fitted to respective sprockets, and a mixing and feeding rod 59 mounted between both the chains. The chains travel in the direction of an arrow 68 accompanied with the rotation of the sprockets, so that the mixing and feeding rod is moved and the toner is adsorbed to the feeding roller.
