Title:
TENSION MECHANISM FOR INK FILM IN THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5845074
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the slackening of film even at the time of stoppage of transfer operation by making the tension of a weight provided on the winding side for giving a tension to an ink film smaller than the braking force of a brake device provided to a film supplier.

CONSTITUTION: An ink film 12 wound around a supply reel 10 is sent out by a greater winding force F1 of a winding reel 11 than the braking force F2 of the brake device 14 of the supply reel 10, passed through a guide roller 7 between a platen 6 and a thermal head 5, and then wound around a winding reel 12 through guide rollers 8 and 12, during which period a tension F3 for separating a recording paper 9 form the weight 13 is given. When the winding operation of the winding reel 11 is stopped, the tension force F3 of the weight 13 is given to the film 12 since the winding reel 11 does not turn reversely due to the presence of a reverse turning preventer 15 and the supply reel 10 is restrained due to a greater braking force F2 than the tension F3 of the weight 13.
