Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable to arrange in a predetermined length without bending respective suction cylinders by a method wherein respective carburettors are arranged between V-shaped engine blocks so that the center lines of the engine blocks are intersected at a predetermined postion when they are seen from the axial direction of a crank shaft.

CONSTITUTION: In case the carburettors 51, 52, supplying mixture to each cylinders 41, 42 respectively and neighboring each other, are mounted to the engine blocks 31, 32 arranged in the V-type, each carburettors 51, 52 are arranged so that the center lines C1, C2 of the suction cylinders 61, 62 are being intersected at a point D when they are seen from the side of the engine E while the intersecting point D is being deviated to the side of the engine block 31 from the bisector B of an angle θ formed by the cylinder blocks 31, 32. The throttle valve operating devices of the carburettors 51, 52 are aranged in a comparatively wide space in the circumference of the carburettor 52, which space will not be invaded by the carburettor 51 readily. The throttle valve operating device is constituted by mounting a main drum 10 to the shaft 92 of the throttle valve at the side of the engine block 32 and the drum 10 is cooperatingly connected to the shaft 91 of the throttle valve through a follower lever or the like.
