PURPOSE: To confirm a proper exposure for the flash photography, by measuring the light sent from an object to be photographed by a test emission of flash light by means of the light reflected from the surface of the shutter rear curtain, then integrating the measured value, and then displaying this value when it attains a prescribed level.

CONSTITUTION: A switch member for test emission of light which performs the TTL control of light is switched to a test light emission mode. Then the front and rear curtains of a shutter are driven by a release operation without producing a slit between these two curtains. A switch S31 is closed when the travelling of the front curtain is over, and a switch S122 is opened when the travelling of the rear curtain is over. Then a flash device emits the flash light via a terminal X of the camera side. The reflected light given from a subject is received by a photodiode 87 and via a diaphragm which is actually used and the rear curtain and then integrated by a capacitor 110. When this value of integration exceeds the negative input of a comparator 113, the output of the comparator 113 rises up to make an SCR120 conduct. Thus a pilot LED119 is lit up, and at the same time the emission of light is stopped via a terminal (b) of the camera side. In such way, the possibility for the proper exposure can be confirmed before the exposure of a film.
