PURPOSE: To effectively wash separation plates without increasing a bombed dose of a workman, by a method wherein the separation plates of a centrifula separator are conveyed while detached one by one by a clamp nail and the inner and the outer surfaces thereof are brushed in a washing tank.
CONSTITUTION: Separation plates 7 accommodated in a state attached to a distrubutor are detached one by one by plural clamp nails mounted to a clamp holder 125. In this case, the holder 125 is raised or lowered by a hanging-up mechanism 111 and the clamp nail is engaged with the inner peripheral flange of the uppermost separation plate among the separation plates 7 held in a laminate form by a clamp nail drive mechanism 121. In this state, a conveyor arm 105 is revolved to a horizontal direction by an actuator 109 and the separation plates 7 are held to a separation plate holding part in a washing tank. In the next step, while water is sprinkled on the inner and the outer surfaces of the separation plate 7 in a water sprinkling apparatus 162, said inner and the outer surfaces are washed by a fixed brush 161 and a rotary brush 159. In this case, the brush 159 is raised and lowered by a brush elevator mechanism.
