NEW MATERIAL:A compound of the formula (R is pyrrolidinyl, piperidino, hexamethyleneimino, etc.).
EXAMPLE: N-Propioloylpyrrolidine.
USE: An injurious organism repellent in seawater and fresh water and antimicrobial agent.
PROCESS: A propioloyl halide is reacted with an amine of the formula H-R, e.g. pyrrolidine, in a solvent, e.g. chloroform, in the presence of a basic substance, e.g. triethylamine.
