PURPOSE: To obtain the titled herb plaster which can be handled easily, has high stability, and is effective to purulent skin diseases, etc., by adding a principal drug component such as Oleum Sesami, yellow wax, Curcumae Rhizoma, Phellodendri Cortex, etc. to the substrate of plaster containing a hydrophilic polymer and/or synthetic rubber and a surface active agent.
CONSTITUTION: A plaster substrate component composed of a hydrophilic polymer (e.g. sodium alginate) and/or natural or synthetic rubber and further a surface active agent (e.g. polyoxyethylene higher fatty acid ester), is added to either (A) CHUOKO composed of 1,000pts. of Oleum Sesami, 330W430pts. of yellow wax, 30W50pts. of Curcumae Rhizoma, 10W30pts. of Phellodendri Cortex, and if necessary 10W30pts. of Coptidis Rhizoma, or (B) SHIUNKO composed of 1,000pts. of Oleum Sesami, 200W450pts. of beeswax (yellow wax), 15W35pts. of lard, 50W130pts. of Angelicae Radix, and 90W130pts. of Lithospermi Radix, or (C) SATOTSUKO composed of 1,000pts. of Oleum Sesami, 170W270pts. of yellow wax, 50W70pts. of lard, and 750W850pts. of pitch. The mixture is spread on a substrate to obtain the objective plaster.
