Abstract:

PURPOSE: To synthesize the titled zeolite having superior characteristics as an adsorbent, a catalyst, etc. by reacting an aqueous reactive mixture contg. a silica source, an alumina source, an alkali source and an org. compound contg. carboxyl.

CONSTITUTION: A silica source, an alumina source, an alkali source and an org. compound contg. carboxyl are mixed in a required ratio and uniformly slurrified. This aqueous reactive mixture is charged into an autoclave made of iron or stainless steel or lined with "Teflon ", and it is kept in the uniform state by continuous or periodic agitation. After the passage of a prescribed time, a reaction product crystallizes at a prescribed temp. The crystals are cooled, taken out of the tightly sealed container, washed in water, separated by filtration, and optionally dried. The resulting zeolite powder is suitably mixed with a binder according to the use, molded and used.
