PURPOSE: To omit a keyboard or the like and to transfer an original easily and rapidly, by discriminating a pattern entered in the paper indicating a transferring area and the one indicating an area to be transferred and making the same pattern correspond to the areas before and after the transfer.

CONSTITUTION: The form 3 indicating a transferring area and the form 5 indicating an area to be transferred are used to discriminate the transferring area from the area to be transferred. The forms 3, 5 are scanned by a picture input part 11 in the transfer indicating device successively, the inputted picture information is temporally stored in a picture storing part 12, the picture information is processed by an operation part 13, and then the operated result is supplied to M (integer) comparators 14-1∼14-M in parallel to compare the information. Corresponding area storing parts 15-1∼15-M are connected to the output sides of the comparators 14-1∼14-M to store coordinate values related to the previously inputted pictures of the transferring area and detect the coincidence of the stored coordinate values with the pattern of the area to be transferred which is inputted afterwards, so that a coordinate input part such as a keyboard is omitted and the original can be easily transferred.
