Abstract:
PURPOSE:To increase the generation efficiency by so constituting that the float thickness gradually increases in the direction of advance of wave, allowing the external force acting on to the float to be balanced at a point before and behind the float in the advancing direction of wave and by effectively utilizing wave energy. CONSTITUTION:The generation set is constituted of a floafting frame 1 which consists of a pole 1a and beams 1b-1d and is fixed at a fixed position on the sea by an anchor 7 and a cable 8, a float 2 which ascends and descends correspondingly to the vertical moving of the wave surface 9 through guiding wheels 3 and 4 along the pole 1a, and a machinery chamber 5 in which a variety of machines such as generators and motion converters by which the vertical motion of the elevating shaft 6 of the float 2 is transmitted. In the float system wave-force generation set thus constituted, the float thickness is constituted to gradually increase in advancing direction of wave shown by an arrow, and the advancing external forces acting onto the float 2 are balanced, for example, on the offing side and the coast side, and the motion of the float 2 is made smooth, and wave energy is utilized effectively.
