Abstract:
Preparation of water-soluble, green phthalocyanine-azo dyes of the formula (I) and salts thereof by diazotising an amine of the formula (II) in which the amino group is bonded to an aromatic carbon atom of the radical ar, and coupling in an aqueous medium at a pH of 3 - 8 with a succinic acid derivative of the formula and converting the resulting hydrazone of the formula (III) with alkali into a pyrazolone, and coupling this pyrazolone with the diazonium compound of an appropriate amine. The meanings of the symbols A, B, X, k, l, m, n, p, Pc, ar, R1, R2, R3, R4, and R'4 are defined in Claim 1. The dyes obtained can have fibre-reactive properties and are highly useful for dyeing and printing cellulose and natural and synthetic polyamide materials, have high degrees of fixation and produce yellowish to bluish green dyeings and prints of high brilliance and colour strength combined with very good fastness properties.
