Abstract:
At the sides of a table (1) for drying under vacuum of dressed skins there are provided two conduits (3 and 4), disposed near to the table, in which are inserted tube bundles (5) flowed through by cooling fluid, so that vapour emitted from the skins (2), whilst drying, passes through the holes (7) and is immediately condensed and discharged through the pipes (8), with substantial advantages not only on the degree of vacuum which is obtained at the interior of the drying chamber, but in the reduced time required for drying. Drying heat is supplied via a chamber (15) containing a heating fluid e.g. hot water or oil.
