Abstract:
A compound of the formula, wherein R is an aromatic compound selected from the group consisting of: +TR wherein R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6 and R7 which may be the same or different, are each selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, chlorine, a C1-2 alkyl group and a C1-2 alkoxy group and wherein Y is -SO2-, -O-, -S-, -CO-, -N=N- or -NHCO-; X is a halogen atom selected from the group consisting of chlorine, bromine, and fluorine; and n is zero or an integer of from 1 to 4. The compound is useful for pigments having hue from the yellow shade to the red shade and having especially high chroma. The pigments also have improved weather resistance, chemical resistance and tinting strength.
