Abstract:
Device and corresponding accessories for converting a moped into a vehicle suitable for operating on snowy ground, essentially comprising a rear caterpillar track-carrying carriage and a steering skid 15. The rear carriage consists of a cradle-shaped chassis 1 having two forks 3 and 4 for fastening two idler wheels 5 and 6 and has the function of supporting, in a laterally inclinable manner, a longitudinal bar 7 carrying bearing wheels 8, the caterpillar track 9 comprising equidistant cross members 12 and being driven by a toothed wheel 11a mounted on a suitable hub drum containing a planetary reversing/reduction gear mechanism intended to be mounted instead of the original rear wheel-carrying hub drum of the vehicle. The steering skid 15 is provided with an element similar to a monoski with a guiding keel, a perpendicular hitching strip 16 and a sprung stabilising tiebar 17. Application to movement over snowy ground.
