Abstract:
PURPOSE:To facilitate development and operation of a spinnaker in such a way that the lower mast is strongly held at the bottom part in the hull and by means of the upper deck, and a combined mast is integrated by means of coupling the extension mast with the upper part of the lower mast without using its stay. CONSTITUTION:The lower mast 21 is held by means of a mast step 6 which has its lower end part installed at the bottom part in the hull, an held by means of the mast holding part 14 which has the outer periphery of its upper part formed on the deck 11. A boom 31 and a spin-pole 41 are installed at the upper part of the lower mast 21. Bosses 52 are provided at the upper end of the lower mast 21 which is tapered, notches 53 which are formed at the lower end of the extension mast 22 are tucked with the bosses 52, so that the both masts can be coupled. A said 3 is fitted between the boom 31 and the mast 2, and a spinnaker 4 is fitted between the spin-pole 41 and the mast 2.
