Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6325641
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To automatically hold optical fibers under a condition where they are aligned to a desired form, by putting optical fibers between warps which are warped and arranged in parallel with each other, and then, by performing weaving by crossing the warps and woofs each other. CONSTITUTION:After a cloth 7 having a required length is woven, the projected part 13 of an optical fiber 11 is projected over warps 2 through the warps 2 by actuating an optical fiber transferring mechanism 12 under a condition where a reed 6 is at the right side position. After the optical fiber 11 is fixed by a fixing tool 18, a holding tool is lowered and stopped at a position just below the projected part 13. At the same time, woofs 5 are beaten by actuating a reed sliding mechanism 20 and the holding tool 16 is again raised after cutting the optical fiber 11 with a cutter 19, and then, the projected part 13 is projected over the warps 2. This operation is repeated and the optical fibers 11 are held between the warps 2 and woofs 5 under an aligned condition. Therefore, by changing the operation of the transferring mechanism 12, optical fibers can be held automatically under a condition where they are aligned to a desired form.
