A display system (100) is provided with a transparent display plate (3), a sub display part (10b) provided on the transparent display plate (3), and a light source (1). The sub display part (10b) is superposed on a main display part (10a) provided in a predetermined region or is provided in a region other than the region in which the main display part (10a) is provided, and the sub display part (10b) radiates light by emission of light (L10, L11) emitted from the light source (1) and incident on the interior of the transparent display plate (3) via the sub display part (10b).
