Abstract:
There are provided an information processing apparatus, an information processing method, and a program capable of supporting artery/vein determination of a blood vessel. The information processing apparatus performs processing of causing a display device (21) to display an ultrasound image (U), which is generated by transmitting ultrasound beams (UB) from a transducer array (13) toward the inside of a living body (30) and receiving ultrasound echoes generated in the living body (30). The information processing apparatus includes: a blood vessel aggregate detection unit (72) that detects, from the ultrasound image (U), a blood vessel aggregate region (Ra) including a blood vessel aggregate in which three or more blood vessels (B) are aggregated; and a highlight display unit (54) that highlights and displays the blood vessel aggregate region (Ra) in the ultrasound image (U).
