Abstract:
This steering device has an input shaft (9) connected to a steering wheel, and an intermediate shaft (11) that is connected to the input shaft (9) and that outputs rotational force inputted from the input shaft (9) to a transmission mechanism. The intermediate shaft (11) is connected to an electric motor (2) via a reduction gear (19) comprising a worm gear formed by the meshing of a worm shaft (21) and a worm wheel (22). The electric motor (2) imparts rotational force to the intermediate shaft (11) via the reduction gear (19).
