Abstract:
The present invention relates to a seamless can that has an inside surface coating film on at least the can inside surface side and a coated metal plate that enables the formation of the seamless can, the seamless can and the coated metal plate being characterized in that the inside surface coating film comprises a polyester resin and a resol-type phenolic resin and/or an amino resin that serves as a curing agent and the gel fraction (A) of the inside surface coating film which is represented by the formula shown below is 55% or more and less than 90%. According to this configuration, a seamless can, particularly a drawn and ironed can, can be provided, which has excellent retort/whitening resistance and long-term embrittlement resistance, does not undergo the detachment of a coating film during a thermal treatment after forming, and has excellent coatability with a coating film. Gel fraction (A) = (W2a/W1a)×100 (%) In the formula, W1a represents the mass of the inside surface coating film that is isolated from a coated metal substrate cut out from the seamless can, and W2a represents the mass of the isolated inside surface coating film after the isolated inside surface coating film is immersed in MEK at ambient temperature for 60 minutes and is then removed from the MEK and is then dried.
