Abstract:
Latrine bag intended for picking up, removal and flushing in particular in a toilet of dog excrements or the like, the bag at picking up also serving as a handprotection. The bag is in its upper end drawn out to two tabs or tongues (1, 2) to facilitate the tiering up, while the bag in its lower end by means of an indentation (5) is divided in two parts, a smaller and a larger, so that a fingerless glove looking structure is obtained facilitating the handling of the material that is to be picked up. The latrine bag is constituted by a paper material that on one side is impregnated or laminated with a water soluble and thereby flushable sealing layer. At use the bag is turned over the dog excrement. The bag is also provided with a tear strip (6) to allow the opening of the bag at flushing. This tear strip is thus initially placed on the inside of the bag.

Claims
1. Latrine bag for picking up, turning inside out, sealing, removal and in particular flushing of dog exc rements and the like, characterized in that it is made from a material that is decomposeable by nature and/or soluable in water.
2. Latrine bag according to claim 1 characterized in that it at ended picking up on its inwards turned side is coated with a sealing layer that is decomposable by nature and/or water soluable.
3. Latrine bag according to claim 1, characterized in that it at ended picking up and inside out turning on its outwards turned side is coated with a material that in the nature is decomposeable and/or water soluable and/or de¬ composable in the nature.
4. Latrine bag according to claim 2 or 3, characteri¬ zed in that it is constituted by a supporting paper mate¬ rial or the like that has been impregnated or laminated with a water soluable and/or in the nature decomposable sealing layer.
5. Latrine bag according to claim 2 or 3 characteri¬ zed in that the sealing layer is constituted by a film of in a suitable way modified polyvinyl alcohol or other sui table water soluable substance.
6. Latrine bag according to any of the previous claims, characterized in that it in its mouth end runs out into lugs or tongues (1, 2) for faciliateing the sealing by tiering up.
7. Latrine bag according to any of the previous claims, characterized in that it in its bottom end is pro¬ vided with an excentrically located welding or glueing to¬ gether (5) so that a fingerless glove like shape is achie¬ ved with connected thumb fold, faciliateing the use.
8. Latrine bag according tυ any of the previous claims, characterized in that it is made from a continuous laminated, welded or glued web/webs or tube that is then punched to the desired bag shape.
9. Latrine bag according to any of the previous claims, characterized in that it is provided with tear strip (6) in order to make possible the tearing of the bag at for instance flushing.
10. Latrine bag according to the claim 7 and 9, cha¬ racterized in that the tear strip is fastened or glued to the thumb fold.
11. Latrine bag according to any of the previous claims, characterized in that it is provided with indenta¬ tions (3, 4) at its upper end to faciliate a tight sealing at tiering up.
Description:
Latrine- and waste bag

This invention is related to a waste bag in particu¬ lar for taking care of dog excrements, something that an increasing number of cities prescribe is to be done imme- diately and by the care of the dog owner, in order to im¬ prove the general environment. In this purpose today small black bags of varying quality are sold and at some loca¬ tions also specific collection barrels or latrine vessels are located. As is easily realised such latrine vessel can not be placed at all locations where it is possible that dogs pass and where the dropping of these need to be taken care of respec ively. Alterna ively these bags can be brought home and thrown into the garbage chute or the like, but this only transfers the sanitary problem. The prescribed method with collection of bags has however the drawback that frequently for instance birds and others get to the bags with a following spreading of bags and contents. This spreading actually result in a worse contamination than if the dog excrements had not been taken care of in the first place, primarily because the bag will protect the excrements so that it will keep longer and secondly the bag is generally of plastic that is not broken down in the nature but contaminates this for a long time. In some countries the laws expressly prescribe that dog excrements must be removed. In cities and city cent¬ res, however the location of dog latrine vessels through the care of a community is a matter of cost and as has been said above hardly enough of these will be posted and perhaps not always along the walking and exercising roads of the dog owners and perhaps are these not always used in the appropriate way.

The invention has as its object to eliminate and re¬ duce the above problems so that a simpler handling of residues is obtained for dog owners and others, the need

of latrine vessels is reduced and contamination due to bags that go astray is reduced.

The main purpose of the invention is thus that the environment of the humans in urban areas shall be clean and sanitary and that the nature is not unnecessary loaded with surplus waste products.

This object is in accordance with the invention sol¬ ved with a protective bag intended for the picking of dog excrements and the like, which bag consists of naturally decomposable and in particular water soluable material, that on the in- or outside is coated with a likewise de¬ composable or water soluable sealing layer. In this way in addition to the previously known ways to get rid of the dog excrements with or without bag also the possibilty is obtained that this can be flushed down in a toilet without disadvantage, since it is dissolved after a short time (for instance a few hours). In this way also an essential¬ ly higher degree of sanitation and reduced environmental load is obtained. Further developments of the invented device and the use of this is apparent from the following description of an embodiment shown in the drawings. In the drawings fig 1 shows an example of the bag in accordance with the inven¬ tion prior to use, fig 2 the bag ready to be used, fig 3 the construction of the bag from band material and fig 4 the invented device in a roll.

The latrine bag shown in fig 1 has two upper tabs or tongues 1 and 2 for the tiering up the bag. The indrawn embossings 3 and 4 faciliates for the bag after it is tied up to constitute a tight seal and as is apparent from fig 2 the retension of the bag on the hand. In the lower end the bag is tapering and provided with an excentrically located weld or glueing together 5 of the bag, somewhat upwards along the bag. Due to this form the bag will in principal constitute a fingerless glove with connecting

thumb fold. This faciliates the gripping and lifting of the dog excrements. When the excrement has been collected in the hand the bag is turned inside out over the content, whereafter it is tied up with the tabs 1 and 2. Thereafter the bag can for instance be brought home to be flushed down in a toilet. The bag can of course also be placed in particular latrine vessels that on the inside can have a large bag with similar material structure.

In order to prevent the bag from floating in the toilet due to the trapped air, the bag is provided with a tear strip 6 glued to the thumb fold, but otherwise free. When the bag is to be flushed down one pulls the free end of the tear strip so that the bag in connection to the thumb fold connection is torn and collapse. The tear strip can be of similar material as the sealing layer, but thic¬ ker, or in some other way stronger than this in order to enable the tearing.

The bag can be coated or laminated with a sealing layer on the original inside or outside. If the bag is coated with a sealing layer on its ori¬ ginal outside the sealing layer will lay against the col¬ lected waste. However water and natures other decomposing forces have no problem in getting at the supporting struc¬ ture in the inside out turned bag. The bag can also have the sealing layer turned away from the excrements, where suitably a timed sealing layer is used at for instance polyvinylalcohol or some other water soluable medium, that after a certain time given by the fabrication parameters is dissolved in and by water respectively. This embodiment can also faciliate fabrica¬ tion.

Preferably the supporting structure of the bag can be constituted of a paper material or the like, that on one side has been coated or laminated with a water dissoluble polyvinylalcohol film or with a wax or resin material that

is sealing but does not constitute a strong film. Advan¬ tageously the material in the bag including the covering sealing layer is of organic origin.

In fig 3 is shown how the bag according to the inven- tion can be made from two paper webs laminated together with a sealing layer on one side, that are glued in the edge of the bag and in the thumb fold where simultaneously the intermediate tear strip 6 is welded or glued and at last the bag is punched to the desired shape. As is appa- rent the shape given in fig 1 provides total use of the material. The web of bags can then be rolled in the way shown in fig 4 so that a unit that is easy to handle is obtained.

Finally it should be mentioned that the bag of course is not only flushable in toilets but it can also be flus¬ hed in other types of outlets and cleaning devices. Of course the bag is also suitable for other flushable or solueable, or decomposeable waste products respectively.
