Abstract:
A vending machine (10) of encapsulated article of commerce operating upon accepting a paper currency, comprising an upper capsule containing section (12), and a lower capsule discharging section (14). In addition to a handle (32), the capsule discharging section (14) comprises a mechanism (44) for preventing reverse rotation of the handle (32), a paper currency identifying unit (50), a paper currency collecting box (52), and a rotation controller (54) of the handle (32). The rotation controller (54) comprises a mechanism (60) for locking&sol unlocking the handle (32), a sensor (62) for detecting the rotational angle or position of the handle (32), and a control means (64). When the paper currency identifying unit (50) recognizes acceptance of a specific paper currency, the rotation controller (54) allows a single−rotation operation of the handle (32) and only one article of commerce is discharge.
