Abstract:

A catenary type furnace (1) having a high compatibility to an environmental protection, easily maintainable, and capable of satisfactorily heat-treating a treated material by suppressing a variation in furnace temperature, wherein the treated material (3) conveyed in the longitudinal direction of a furnace casing (2) in the form of a catenary curved shape is heat-treated in the burner-fired furnace casing (2), a lower stage burner continuously fired in the lateral direction of the furnace casing (2) is installed under the treated material (3), and alternating combustion type regenerative burners (5, 6) having pairs of alternately burned burners (5a, 5b, 6a, 6b) and fired in the longitudinal direction of the furnace casing (2) are installed over the treated material (3).
