Description:

DESCRIPTION

Title: "Treatment for the hair regrowth in the bald patches formed by alopecia of the celsi area".

PREVIOUS SITUATION REGARDING TREATMENT

Alopecia is characterized by the appearance of one or more bald patches on the scalp, in the beard area, under the armpits, in the pubic area and on the arms and legs.

The illness is extremely common and almost 50% of males may be affected during their lives by patches of alopecia in the beard area.

The skin in the bald patches is pale or pale pink, sometimes witch a slight furfuraceous desquamation in the more active forms of the illness, in which short, broken hairs narrower towards the base and white atrophic bulbs can often be found on the edges of the bald patches.

The most recent studies confirm in the patients, the presence of a genetic legacy with a predisposition to the illness. Futhermore, a virus or some other infectious or sensitizing agent penetrates the body, modifies some intracellular proteins similar to those physiologically present in the hair follicle. It could cause the activation of host immune system to react against its own structures, thus assuming the form of an "autoimmune" illness. Over the last few years much has been discovered about the pathogenetic events concerning the appearance of alopecia. However, a really effective remedy, especially relating to the more extensive forms of the illness, has not existed up to the present day.

In addition, a therapy plan must be based on an organized strategy, in some way adapted to the individual patient and must bear in mind certain rules. At this moment, antidystonic and vitaminic substances and reconstituents are used. For topical applications, cortisone creams are used. Corticosteroids are used in any form in the most resistant cases. For seborrhoic alopecia sulphur, cade oil and coaltar shampoos are used.

For the pseudoarea, antibiotate creams, antibiotics and low dosage cortisones are used in any form.

AIMS QF THIS INVENTION:

The aim of present invention is to provide a procedure, a technique and a product able to induce the hai re-growth in the bald patches which have formed because of alopecia. Such a technique, does not have the disadvantages of the classic hair transplant.

A further aim of the invention is that of providing a method with which it is possible to have new growth of hair on the bald patches on humans the use of the product. Furthermore, the aim is to provide a relatively simple method of application.

The above aims can be reached by using the method based on the invention so that the hair grows again naturally.

The invention, therefore, refers to the re-growth of hair, in alopecia.

ANALYSIS OF THE RESULT OBTAINED

The procedure consists of the following steps:

A) Shaving off hair in the anagen phase in one or more areas.

B) Washing the involved area.

C) Culture of the hair follicle cells by means of daily applications in therapy cycles of a maximum length of 30 days.

D) Shaving off the first roots to strengthen the following growth.

Its main advantage is that the solution is applied to the skin and acts directly on the hair follicle, encouraging its growth and development. The result is obtained after about two weeks' treatment.

The essence of the invention for which a patent is requested consist of a solution of iodine, potassium iodide, purified water, ethanol at 96%, and ethanol at 90%", correctly mixed, according to the following quantities:

1. Iodine: 1,O g

2. Potassium iodide: 0,714 g

3. Purified water: 0,714 ml

4. Ethanol 96% : 11,85 ml

5. Ethanol 90% : 85,722 ml The final solution is 100 ml.

As has been stated, this solution enables the even regrowth of hair and of hairs in general, with no side effects. Slight reddening of the scalp as been noted only in sporadic cases.

At this moment, as indicated in the above mentioned dosage, has never been used for alopecia treatment.
