Abstract:

Provided is an ink jet type recording device which can rapidly form a 3D image of a preferable image quality. An ink jet printer executes a first printing and a second printing. In the first printing, ink discharge and hardening are performed several times so that ink is further discharged onto a discharged ink while a recording medium is fed forward. After the first printing is complete, the recording medium is returned backward. In the second printing, ink is discharged onto the hardened ink on the recording medium while the recording medium is fed forward. The time required for hardening after the ink discharge is longer in the second printing than in the first printing.
