Title:
ELECTRIFICATING MEMBER, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE ELECTRIFICATING MEMBER, PROCESS CARTRIDGE, AND ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/050372
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is an electrificating member that, even when an electroconductive surface layer has undergone repeated stretching under various environments, can suppress the aggregation of electroconductive particles in the surface layer and is less likely to cause a change in electrificating properties.  The electrificating member comprises an electroconductive base and an electroconductive elastic layer and an electroconductive surface layer provided on the base.  The elastic layer contains a polymer comprising an ethylene oxide-derived unit.  The surface layer contains a binder resin and graphite particles.  The binder resin contains a resin having in the molecule thereof a urethane bond, a siloxane bond, or both the urethane bond and the siloxane bond.  In the graphite particles, the spacing of the graphite (002) plane is 0.3362 nm to 0.3449 nm.
