Abstract:
An electric vehicle power conditioning system (EV-PCS) 4, i.e., a charger/discharger, is provided with: a power converter 43, i.e., a charging/discharging unit that controls charging and/or discharging of a storage battery mounted in an electric vehicle (EV) 5; a charging/discharging cable 11 extending from the power converter 43; and a charging/discharging connector 12 for connecting the charging/discharging cable 11 to the EV 5. The charging/discharging connector 12 has a temperature detection element, the surface of which is covered with a resin, and which detects the internal temperature of the charging/discharging connector 12, and with an increase of the temperature detected by the temperature detection element, the power converter 43 reduces the value of a current that flows in the charging/discharging cable 11 when performing the charging or discharging.
