Abstract:
A reader/writer according to this embodiment has an insertion part and a support member. An information storage medium that is held in the fingers of a possessor is inserted into the insertion part. The support member supports the insertion part on a positioning surface such that the direction of insertion of the information storage medium into the insertion part intersects a horizontal plane in a forward-descending manner, becoming lower toward the fore. The support member causes the angle of intersection of the direction of insertion and the horizontal plane to be a prescribed acute angle such that the fingers of the possessor do not interfere with the positioning surface when inserting the information storage medium into the insertion part.
