Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a novel 1,2-dioxetane compd. having a cyclic polyalkylene group, can induce chemiluminescence, and, when combined with an org. or biological molecule, can be used as an indicator in assay, etc.
CONSTITUTION: A novel 1,2-dioxetane compd. useful as a chemiluminescent label of an org. or biological molecule in assay, etc., and represented by formula I (wherein Ar is phenyl or naphthyl; A is a substituent which chemically couples with an org. or biological molecule or a substituent which physically couples with an org. or biological molecule to give a dioxetan compd. on the molecule as a label; R1 is a 1-30C linking group or the like; X is a chemically unstable substituent which is removed by an activator to cause the dioxetane compd. to produce light; and the group of formula II is a cyclic 6-30C polyalkylene group) is provided, which is prepd. by the addition reaction of oxygen to an alkene compd. of formula III.
