Abstract:

To provide a new compound which improves the lipid barrier penetrability of a biologically active substance comprising a fatty acid such as lipoic acid and simultaneously makes a biologically active substance comprising a different fatty acid from the lipoic acid to penetrate.

A 1,3-propanediol comprising a specific basic skeleton is bound to an acyl group derived from a 12 to 30C fatty acid or a 12 to 30C aliphatic alcohol group and to a lipoic acid to produce the 1,3-propanediol derivative to which the acyl group derived from the 12 to 30C fatty acid or the 12 to 30C aliphatic alcohol group and the lipoic acid are bound.
