Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain 1,4-cyclohexanediol monovinyl ether, a new compound which is useful as a reactive diluent of low smell, low volatility and high reducibility, a modifier for various Rinds of resins and a cross-linking agent used in active radiation-curing resin such as ultraviolet-curing resins or electron beam-curing resin.
CONSTITUTION: The subject substance is a new compound, 1,4-cyclohexane diol monovinyl ether. The reaction of 1,4-cyclohexanediol with acetylene gives a mixture of the objective compound with 1,4-cyclohexanediol divinyl ether.
