PURPOSE: To provide a 14 stages rolling mill with roll arrangement that the capacity to transmit torque is raised and also shape change is difficult to be generated even when rolling load is changed.

CONSTITUTION: In the 14 stages rolling mill which is provided with a pair of upper and lower work rolls 2 which are brought into contact with a rolled stock 1, a pair of right and left 1st intermediate rolls 3 with which those work rolls 2 are supported, 2nd intermediate roll 4 which is simultaneously brought into contact with a pair of those right and left 1st intermediate rolls 3, back-up roll 6 in the middle with which that 2nd intermediate roll is supported, back-up rolls 5 on both right and left sides which are arranged on both right and left sides of the back-up roll 6 in the middle and with which the 1st intermediate rolls 3 are supported, the back-up roll 6 in the middle is made into a divided roll and the back-up rolls 5 on both right and left sides are made into solid rolls, the back-up rolls 5 on both right and left sides are taken as driving rolls and the ratio of the diameter D3 of the back-up rolls 5 on both right and left sides to the diameter D, of the back-up roll 6 in the middle is confined as D5/D3=1.0-1.5.
