Abstract:

NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by formula I (R1 is lower alkyl or lower alkoxy; R2 is H or halogen; R3 and R4 are lower alkyl; n is 2 or 3; R5 is acyl derived from thioctic acid, linoleic acid, α-linolenic acid, 5,8,11,14,17- eicosapentaenoic acid, 4,7,10,13,16,19-docosahexaenoic acid, 6,9,12,16- octadecatetraenoic acid, 10-undecylenic acid or palmitoleic acid) or an acid addition salt thereof.

EXAMPLE: (+)-cis-2-(4-Methoxyphenyl)-3-linoleyloxy-5-[2-(dimethylamino)ethyl]-2,3- dihydro-1,5-benzothiazepin-4-(5H)-one.

USE: A drug. A remedy and preventive treating agent for circulatory diseases.

PREPARATION: A compound shown by formula II is reacted with a carboxylic acid shown by the formula R5-OH in an inert solvent in the presence of a deoxidizer or a condensation agent to give a compound shown by formula I.
