Abstract:
To obtain a norbornene carboxylate compound capable of being produced and refined by a simpler process than conventional processes and suitable for a production on a commercial scale and to provide a method for producing the compound.
This 8-alkyl-8-adamanthyl-5-norbornene-2-carboxylate is represented by chemical formula 1 (wherein, R is methyl or ethyl). The method for producing the 8-alkyl-8-adamanthyl-5-norbornene-2-carboxylate is also provided.
