Abstract:
PURPOSE: 2-(α-Substituted acryloyl)benzoic acid compounds of formula I(A is formula II(X is halogen or lower alkyl;n=0-4)>is OM (M is a 13 balent cation), OR1 (lower alkyl or lower alkenyl). NR2R3 (R2-3 are H or lower alkyl) or formula III(R4 is alkylene with or without ether oxygen);W is O or N-OH;R is aliphatic hydrocarbon residue or aromatic hydrocarbon residue) e.g. 2-(α-phenylacryloyl)benzoic acid.
