PURPOSE: To provide a compd. having an enhancing effect on the contracting force and smooth muscle of heart and useful for the treatment for cardiovascular diseases.
CONSTITUTION: The compd. is expressed by formula I, wherein R1 is 6 to 10C aryl, thienyl; R2 is H, 5 to 8C cycloalkyl, 1 to 10C alkyl, etc.; R3 is H, 1 to 8C alkyl. The compd. is, for example, ethyl (-)-2-amino-1,4-dihydropyridine-5- cyano-6-methyl-4-(3-phenylquinolin-5-yl)-3-carboxylate. The compd. of formula I is obtd. by the reaction of an aldehyde expressed by formula II and a compd. expressed by formula III in an inert solvent (e.g. acetonitrile) at 10 to 150°C. The compd. can be dosed orally or non-orally, especially through a tongue or vein. The dose is 0.001 to 1 mg per 1 kg body weight for intravenous medication and 0.01 to 20 mg per 1 kg body weight by oral medication.
