Abstract:
To obtain a constitution which is eliminated in a variation of an inertial force of a piston while making an engine compact in a size, in a four-cycle two-cylinder internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: A counterweight 15 protruding in a direction reverse to a piston 4 is arranged at either of a pair of piston crank arms 11, 12. A piston crank pin 17 is fixed to a piston crank arm 12 which is located inside, and on the other hand, and a swing arm 19 in a vertical longitudinal direction is connected to the outside of an inter-bore part 16 so as to be oscillatory. A balance weight 22 arranged at a lower end of the swing arm 19 and a joint crank pin 17 of a crankshaft 8 are connected to each other by a link 18. An inertia force generated by a vertical motion of the piston 4 is erased by the counterweight 15, and an inertia force generated by a horizontal motion of the counterweight 15 is erased by the balance weight 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
