Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by formula I (R1 is trityl, lower acyl, trialkylsilyl or monohalogen-substituted benzoyl; R is lower alkyl).
EXAMPLE: 2-Deoxy-1-O-methyl-3-O-thiobenzoyl-5-O-trityl-D-ribofuranose.
USE: An intermediate for synthesizing a 3'-O-benzyl-2'-deoxy-β-uridine shown by formula II as a carcinostatic agent.
PREPARATION: For example, the OH group at the 5-position of a compound shown by formula III derived from 2-deoxy-D-ribofuranose is protected with a proper substituent group shown by the group R to give a compound shown by formula IV, which is subjected to ordinary thiobenzoylation reaction.
