NEW MATERIAL:A 2-diazo-1,2-quinone derivative substituted with a group containing alkyl group substituted with fluorine atom, e.g. the compound of formula I (either one of R1 and R2 is H and the other is group containing alkyl substituted with fluorine atom).
EXAMPLE: 4-(1H,1H,2H,2H-heptadecafluorodecyloxy)sulfonyl-2-diazo-1,2- naphthoquinone.
USE: When the compound is added to at least one layer of a recording material composed of plural layers or to a recording material composed of single layer, the adhesive force between the layers or between the single layer and another material can be weakened by light-irradiation. Accordingly, the compound is useful for a recording material such as an image-receiving sheet of color proof, a photo-resist and a printing plate.
PREPARATION: The compound of formula I can be produced by reacting a compound of formula II (either one of R6 and R7 is H and the other is SO2Cl) with a compound of formula III (R3 is group containing 2-20C alkyl substituted with F) or formula IV (at least one of R4 and R5 is R3).
