Title:
2-WIRE SEMIDOUBLE COMMUNICATION MODEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS58161548
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To assure the perfect operation of an MODEM, by providing an initialization indicating signal producing means within the MODEM and initializing a demodulating part with the initialization indicating signal.

CONSTITUTION: A data is given to an MODEM20 from a CPU1 via a connecting line 8, and at the same time delivering a data transmission request signal via a connecting line 10. Thus a carrier is delivered from a modulating part 21. This carrier is sent to a buffer amplifier 23 and then to a 2-wire circuit 5. While the carrier sent to the MODEM20 from the circuit 5 is demodulated at a demodulating part 24 and then delivered to a CPU1. Furthermore a transmitting carrier detecting part 25 is provided at the MODEM20 as an initialization indicating signal producing means. The part 25 feeds a carrier and delivers an initialization indicating signal having a significant period when a carrier exists to the part 24. Thus the part 24 is in an initial state. In other words, the initialization is carried out although the transmitting and receiving carriers exist consecutively on the circuit 5.
