Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I [R1 represents 1W6C alkyl, 5W6C cycloalkyl, phenyl, (substituted) benzyl or 2W6C alkanoyl; R2 represents H; R3 represents CH3 or links with R2 to form lower alkylidenedioxy; X represents halogen atom; X' represents H or halogen atom].
EXAMPLE: Fluocinolone acetonide 21-methyl sulfide.
USE: A local anti-inflammatory agent.
PREPARATION: For example, a 21-sulfonyloxysteroid expressed by formula II (R4 represents 1W6C alkyl, aryl or aralkyl) is reacted with a mercaptan derivative expressed by the formula R1-SM (M represents alkali metal) preferably at a molar ratio of the former to the latter of 1:1W3 normally in an organic solvent such as acetone preferably at 0W60°C.
