Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A 1-N-(α-hydroxy-ω-aminoalkanoyl)-2',3'-dideoxy-2'-fluoroka- namycin A.
EXAMPLE: 1-N-( DL-3-Amino-2-hydroxypropionyl )-2',3'-dideoxy-2'-fluorokanamycin A.
USE: An antibacterial agent showing high antibacterial activity against kanamycin sensitive bacteria and kanamycin resistant bacteria.
PREPARATION: The amino group at the 1-position of a 2',3'-dideoxy-2'- fluorokanamycin A shown by the formula II or a protected derivative obtained by protecting an amino group except the amino group at the 1-position of the compound with an amino protecting group is reacted with an α-hydroxy-ω- aminoalkanoic acid shown by the formula III, etc., and the amino-protecting group is optionally eliminated.
