Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I [X is O or S; R1WR3 are H, halogen, alkyl or part of formula II is formula III (R3' is H, halogen or alkyl; R4 is formula IVWVII (W is O or S; R6WR8 are H, halogen, nitro, alkyl, OH or alkoxy; Y is single bond, alkylene or alkenylene) or NR92 (R9 is H, alkyl or phenyl); R5 is 2-tetrazolyl or COOR10 (R10 is H or alkyl)].
EXAMPLE: (1S,3S)-3[(2,3-Dichloro-4-benzoyl)phenoxy]cyclopenta-necarboxylic acid.
USE: A remedy for cerebral edema.
PREPARATION: A compound expressed by formula VIII (R14 is R4 in which R6WR8 are other than OH and alkoxy in formulas IVWVII) is reacted wit a compound expressed by formula IX (R15 is alkyl; Z is halogen, alkylsulfonyloxy, etc.), and, as desired, the nitro group is converted into hydroxyl group and then alkoxy group to afford the aimed compound expressed by formu la I (R5 is COOR10 (R10 is alkyl).
