To find out a compound having inhibitory actions on production of PAI-1 (plasminogen activator inhibitor-1), inhibitory actions on tissue fibrosis and fibrinolytic actions and to provide a medicine for prophylaxis and/or therapy of diseases caused by pathological thrombus such as tissue fibrosis diseases (pulmonary fibrosis, renal fibrosis etc.) ischemic heart diseases (myocardial infarction or angina pectoris), intraatrial thrombus, pulmonary embolism, deep vein thrombosis, disseminated intravascular coagulation, ischemic brain diseases (cerebral infarction or cerebral hemorrhage) or arteriosclerosis.

The medicine comprising a 3-anilino-2-cycloalkenone derivative represented by general formula (I) or an optical isomer thereof or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof or a hydrate thereof or a solvate thereof and useful for prophylaxis and/or therapy of disease conditions or symptoms mediated with the PAI-1 is provided.
