Abstract:
To provide an industrially suitable method for producing a 3- carboxyindazole derivative by which the 3-carboxyindazole derivative is produced from an o-aminophenylacetic acid derivative represented by general formula (1) [wherein, R1 is hydrogen atom or a carboxyalkyl group represented by general formula (2) (wherein, R2 and R3 denote each hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group)] in high yield by a simple method.
This method for producing the 3-carboxyindazole derivative comprises reacting the o-aminophenylacetic acid derivative with a nitrite in water solvent under acidic conditions, then adding a base to the resultant reactional liquid and carrying out a reaction under basic conditions.
