Abstract:

PURPOSE: To precisely quantify a 3-deoxyglucosone derivative in a biological sample by using the 3-deoxyglucosone derivative marked with 13C or 14C as an internal marker material for gas chromatographic mass spectrometry.

CONSTITUTION: A 3-deoxyglucosone derivative synthesized with the glucose marked by 13C or 14C in advance as a departure point and expressed by the formula and its methoxyoxime body are used as an internal marker material for gas chromatographic mass spectrometry, where *C indicates 13C or 14C, X indicates O or N-OR (R is Me, Et, or H), and Y indicates Side3, or SiMe2, or SiMe2tBu. The 3-deoxyglucosone derivative having been hardly detected from the biological tissue such as blood or urine due to its instability and reactivity can be precisely detected by this method.
