PURPOSE: To new 3-dicyclohexylamino sydnone imine and its acid addition salt useful as prophylactic and treating medicine for cardiovascular diseases.
CONSTITUTION: This compound of the formula I, e.g. 1,3-cyclohexylamino sydnone imine-hydrochloride is obtained by allowing the compound of the formula II to react with a reducing agent (e.g. trifluoroacetate) in a solvent (e.g. water-methanol) at -10 to 40°C and then an acylation is carried out by an acylating agent (e.g. N,N'-carbonyldiazole) for introducing -COR2 residue and converting to salt, if necessary. The reducing agent is used in the ratio of 0.1 to 10 mole for 1 mole of the compound of the formula II. In the formula I, R1 is H, -COR2 residue (R2 is 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy, 5-7C cycloalkyl, phenyl, nicotinoyl, arylmercaptoacetyl, etc.).
