Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I (R is lower alkyl, lower alkoxyl, phenyl, benzyl, etc.; m is 1 or 2; n is 0W2).
EXAMPLE: 3-(2,4-Dichloro-5-methylthiomethoxyphenyl)-5-tert-buty-l-1,3,4-oxadiazol- 2(3H)-one.
USE: A herbicide.
PREPARATION: The compound of formula I can be produced e.g. by the conden sation reaction of the compound of formula II with the compound of formula III (M is alkali metal) in a solvent such as ether at 0W100°C.
