Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain new compounds useful as preventive and treating agents for cardiac infarction; antiarrhythmic agents; treating agents for shock condition; antiatherosclerotic agents, carciostatic agents; diagnostics for diabetes and proliferous diseases; preventive and treating agents for hypertension.
CONSTITUTION: Compounds of the formula I {one of R(1)-R(4) is amino group of the formula II [R(5) is H or 1-6C alkyl; n is 0-4; R(6) is H, phenyl or the liked], and the other is H, F or the like; with the proviso that R(1) and R(4) are not H simultaneously}, such as 2-amino-3,5-dichlorobenzoyl guanidine hydrochloride. The compd. is obtained by reacting a compd. of the formula III (L is a nucleophilic substituting leaving group) with guanidine generally in an aprotic inert solvent. The compd. of the formula III is obtained by such methods that benzoic acid being treated in methanol with gaseous HCl or benzoic acid being treated with carbonyl diimidazole.
