To provide a three-dimensional measuring instrument, a measurement method and a measurement program with which it is possible to move a probe at constant speed in accordance with joystick operation.SOLUTION: Provided is a three-dimensional measuring instrument for operating a joystick 160 to move a probe 24A and measuring a measurement object using the probe, comprising: a determination unit for determining whether or not there is trigger operation on the basis of the result of comparison of a change value (dv/dt) per unit time (dt) of a joystick output signal value with a threshold; a switching unit for switching to an auto probing mode when trigger operation by joystick is performed; and a drive unit for initiating the probe movement in the auto probing mode when trigger operation by joystick is performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
